Hi everyone
I have really been getting into stamping lately and so I was thrilled when MoYou London asked me to review some of their stamping products!
They offered to send me their Marshmallow stamper (non sticky) and 2 stamping plates of my choice. So I went with the Sailor plate 15 and The Pro XL 23.
As usual the MoYou packaging is just adorable and totally retro, I love it!! I love looking on their website sometimes just for all the cute packaging and designs!
The sailor plate I chose is filled with really cute nautical themed designs, I love the little anchors! I really like the fact that the individual stamps are quite big and large enough to cover my whole nail.
The Pro XL 23 is packed with lovely and intricate flower designs. Again, the stamps are large and will easily cover my whole nail. So pretty.
I literally couldn’t get over the packaging for the stamper and scraper set. It’s too cute. I mean, seriously – PUG! That’s all I need to say!!
The Marshmallow stamper head is big, squishy and comes away from the stamper base so it can be easily cleaned. It looks and feels like a really quality product. Love!
Obviously I couldn’t wait to try out all these lovely goodies and so I went ahead and created a couple of designs with them.
Just something to note – before I used the stamper I gave it a good clean in washing up liquid and patted dry with kitchen towel.
First I tried out the Pro XL 23 plate. I started out with a base of Sinful Colors Mint2bcool. I went for a lovely bold flower pattern and stamped with my Born Pretty white stamping polish. I used a light rolling motion to pick up the image from the plate.
The stamper worked beautifully first time, I had no issues with pick up and the image transferred perfectly onto the nail.
I love the image and think it looks really effective.
I then turned my attention to the Sailor plate 15. I just had to try the classic nautical combo of blue, white, red and gold for this one.
For the base colours I used Barry M Cotton Gelly and Barry M Navy (a beautiful shade from their classic core line, I adore it).
For the stamping, I used Born Pretty white stamping polish and Hit The Bottle stamping polishes in I blue it all on polish and Drop red gorgeous.
On my middle finger I used Sydney Brights by Luna Loves Lacquer. This gold holo polish is amazing but sadly the gloomy weather meant that the holo didnt want to come out to play.
I really like how this turned out – it looks really fun.
The stamping wasn’t quite as easy this time as the images were much finer and not as deeply etched as they are on the Pro XL. So I had to try a few attempts for each finger before I was happy with the result.
But I was really pleased with how it turned out in the end. I think the images look clear and the amount of detail on them is lovely.
Overall, I was really impressed with these products from MoYou. They look amazing and are really great quality.
I was particularly impressed with the stamper as I’ve had such problems with other stampers in the past. I’ll definitely be getting a lot of use out of this one!
I know I’ll use the stamping plates a lot too, I really can’t wait to create some more designs with them!
