I was really excited to see that Mrs Cross’ Nail Shop had released a new ‘Autumnail’ collection consisting of 3 new shades.
I love all 3 polishes in the collection, but I knew that I absolutely had to have Emerald City which is a beautiful, dark, deep green jelly with gold glitter and flakies.
Please note: the following brush photo is not colour accurate but I wanted to show how beautiful the gold glitter is!
Now this vampy shade was just calling out to me and I couldn’t wait to get it on my nails!
As you can see, the gold flakes peek beautifully through the bottle green jelly base and the effect is stunning!
I used 2 buttery coats plus topcoat for my swatch. Emerald City applied like a dream and the topcoat made the gold pop right out.
Emerald City has to be one of my all time favourite indie polishes, it’s just gorgeous and Leanne has got the formula spot on.
As soon as I saw Emerald City I knew I had to use it as a base for Halloween nail art and this is what I came up with!
I decided to top it all with a matte topcoat and as you can see it makes the Emerald City look really different! I love it!
For the stamping I used born Pretty Store clear jelly stamper, white stamping polish and plate BP-81.
