I’m grabbing a rare moment while my baby girl naps, hopefully I can get this post up before she wakes!
So I’ve had a unicorn themed stamping plate from Harunouta (L045) for months and haven’t got round to using it.
Most of the images from the plate would work best with advanced stamping/decals which I don’t often have time to do these days.
So I finally sat down the other night with my UberChic beauty mat to make some decals.
As usual they didn’t turn out too great, but as I went to so much effort I still want to post the mani!
I started off by creating a rough gradient on two fingers with Barry M Scuba and Rimmel Sweet Retreat. I also used these polishes to colour in the decals.
I then applied one coat of Rimmel Hot Metal Love to use as the base for the decals.
As usual everything went well until I applied the decals to my nail.
I always have the same issues with decals – as soon as I apply them I just get so many bubbles, no matter how much I push them down and make sure there is no air!
So you’ll notice the imperfections but they took me so long to do that I still want to show you them!
So that’s my unicorn nail art, let me know your advanced stamping/decal making tips, I’d love to hear them!
