Hi everyone
I’m a little delayed getting this post out, but today I have for you the 4 BRAND NEW shades in the Barry M under the sea collection!
The under the sea range is a beautiful collection of sea-life inspired colour shifting polishes. They are beautiful and this blog post I did featuring the first 4 shades is my most popular post ever!
So I was really excited to discover that Barry M have extended the collection by 4 more shades!
I’ll start off my review by saying that yes, these polishes are sheer and you will need a good few coats to reach full opacity. But that’s the beauty of them!
You can either wear them sheer, creating a beautiful and subtle mani, or you can layer them over different base colours for a variety of different looks.
All 4 polishes have a similar formula which applies easily and dries fairly quickly.
So now onto my swatches.
First up is the gorgeous Moonfish.
Moonfish has beautiful pearly grey blue base with a peach shimmer.
I absolutely adore this polish but sadly it looks awful on me! It makes my skin look really yellow toned. I will still wear it as it’s gorgeous, but for swatching, it doesn’t suit me!
It really is a beautiful polish, so ethereal and could make a good option for a bridal mani.
The second polish I’m showing you is Seahorse.
This one really isn’t for me. It is a bright Cadbury purple with a vibrant green shift.
These kind of duochromes just don’t appeal to me, but I’m sure many people will think otherwise!
The third polish in the collection is Electric Eel.
This Polish is so unique, I literally have nothing else like it!
I’d describe it as a shifty colbalt blue with a green/gold/aqua shift.
I have included some pictures in different lighting as this one is really shifty and looks quite different depending on the light.
I love this one and I think I’ll be using it a lot! Especially for any mermaid themed manis!
My final swatches are of Pacific Flame. What a gorgeous name for a polish!
Pacific Flame is a firey red base with a strong gold/green shift. So pretty and ideal for the upcoming festive season.
Normally I’m not fussed about reds but I really like this one and I can see myself wearing it quite a bit.
Overall I’m really pleased with these additions to the under the sea collection. The mermaid trend is still really popular right now, and these fit in nicely with that.
I think I’ll definitely try layering them over different colours as I did with the first set of colours that were released. But I do like them on their own, I am quite a fan of sheer, girly shades.
What do you think of these new shades? Would you wear them sheer or layered?
Under the sea nail paints are £3.99 each. You can pick them up at Boots, Superdrug and on the Barry M website.
Thanks for stopping by!

All of these are sooo pretty! Wishing we could get them here in the US!
I always like the Barry ‘M themed collections!
These are such beautiful colors but the brush strokes make my cry inside.
