*All opinions stated are my own*
Hi everyone
My long standing readers will know that my other obsession, aside from nails, is Elvis.
Despite being born over 10 years after he past, I have been an avid fan since I was 10 years old.
My obsession went to the next level when my now husband took me on a surprise holiday to Memphis (as we live in the UK, it’s pretty far to go!), and proposed to me in the grounds of Graceland. That day still feels like a dream, even after all these years.
I thought I’d share a couple of pics from my trip. Looking through my photos, I had a little chuckle to myself about my dress sense from 7 years ago! 😂😂
Elvis isn’t for everyone. He is often mocked and belittled, but for me none of that matters. I believe in the story of a shy (but cunning!) dirt poor boy who made history, and reached a level of superstardom that will never be repeated.
I won’t get into my opinions and theories about him as I have many. This is just a nail blog (and let’s face it, none of you will care anyway!), but for me, the obsession is real and I know I’ll always be a lifelong fan.
My inspiration for my Elvis nail art this year came from this graphic, which is being used to promote Elvis Week 2018:

I used Barry M Cream Soda, Pink Flamingo and Bikini to create a smooshy base.
Once dry, I stamped using images from Moyou London Rockstar 06 and Typography 04.
My clean up wasn’t great on this as my peel off cuticle guard failed me and wouldn’t actually peel off! It took so long to get all the mess off, I just gave up in the end. Ha!
I am pleased with how they turned out, I’ve never stamped letters before, so they came out better than I thought they would!
Thanks for stopping by!

That mani is super fun as is all of the extras in the post! These types to me are the best and most fun to read! Plus being a fun of anyone/anything music I can totally relate to and LOVE to get off topic on it! 🙂
Such an interesting post to read. Elvis is awesome and so is this manicure!
The nail art you did looks gorgeous!
Great manicure to celebrate the King.
