Today I have more Barry M newness for you!
These new shades are limited edition exclusives and are available NOW!
The two glitter bombs Fairylights and Afterparty are exclusive to Boots stores, while Venom and Volt are available in Superdrug stores only!
I’ll start off by showing you the glitters and then I’ll move onto the metallics.
Fairylights is a beautiful mix of copper, gold and holo glitters in a clear base which has an almost rose gold hue. So really on trend!
This polish is stunning. It really does remind me of fairylights twinkling on a Christmas tree. It will be perfect for the festive season.
I’ve swatched Fairylights on its own so you can see the different mix of glitters, but I do think this one works best as a topper.
My swatch shows 2 coats, no topcoat. Application was easy, there was a nice glitter payoff with each coat and it dried fairly quickly.
The base is quite thick so I’d recommend applying thin coats and waiting for each coat to dry before applying the next.
The other glitter is named Afterparty which I think is really fun.
It is a glorious mix of iridescent blue, pink, purple and holo glitter in a clear base which has a slight tint of purple.
The overall effect is so pretty and I have nothing like this in my collection.
I think it works slightly better on its own than Fairylights, but I’d advise wearing it over a base colour to get the full effect.
I applied two coats and no topcoat for my swatches. Application was pretty similar to Fairylights, with no need to fish for glitter.
Again, I’d recommend you apply thin coats and build the coats of polish up until you get your desired look.
Next up are the two duochrome metallics exclusive to Superdrug.
Venom (love the name, very fitting for Halloween!), is a beautiful magenta purple metallic polish with a copper flash (which sadly hid from my camera).
I used 2 coats and no topcoat for my swatches. It applied like a total dream and dried speedily.
I thought I would swatch Fairylights over Venom, and it did look really nice! A very festive combo!
Finally I am showing you Volt, which was really difficult to photograph and describe! It’s blue, it’s purple, it’s silver. I adore it!
I applied two beautifully easy coats for my swatch with no topcoat.
I also swatched Afterparty over Volt and it looks so pretty! I’m actually wearing that combo right now.
I’m excited to have these polishes they are so pretty and will be great during the upcoming festive season.
Which one is your favourite?
Thanks for stopping by!
