I am so excited as I have so much amazing newness from Barry M to show you this week!
Today’s post will be focussing on the exciting new Green Origin range! In their quest to join the eco friendly beauty movement, Barry M have created a brand new 8 piece collection of nail polishes that are 70% natural origin!
These polishes are made with natural ingredients such as potato, corn and wheat. This means that not only are they vegan, they are environmentally friendly and have low chemical formulas – which is fantastic.
Alongside the 8 new shades is a Green Origin 2 in 1 topcoat/basecoat which will give your mani real staying power and brilliant shine!
As all 8 shades in this collection are cremes, they all have very similar formulas which are easy to work with and only need 2 coats. All my swatches show 2 coats plus one coat of the topcoat. The colour palette is full of earthy tones and rich jewel shades.
So now onto the swatches!
First up is Down To Earth which is a lovely taupe shade. This classy nude will go with everything and suits all seasons.
The next shade I’m showing you is Mushroom, which lives up to its name perfectly! This earthy purple toned light brown is the perfect autumn shade.
The next polish in the collection is Butterscotch. This colour is so unique, and it really does remind me of rich buttery candy! This is another shade that will be just perfect to wear throughout the cooler months.
Next I’m showing you Boysenberry which is a stunning magenta shade. This gives such a lovely pop of colour on the nails.
Here we have Red Sea which is a a beautiful, blood red shade. I’m not normally a red girl, but this one I love!
Next up is Evergreen. This dark fir tree green is one of my favourites of the collection. (Christmas tree vibes anyone?)
Continuing with the swatches we have Night Sky. This is my absolute favourite of the collection (well duh, it’s blue). I’m loving the richness of this deep inky blue polish. Just gorgeous. It will look beautiful with a glittery topper.
Finally I have for you Rock Pool which is a pretty teal shade.
My phone hates blue/green polishes and often makes them look completely different in photos.
So my swatch is very heavily edited as you can see, but it is much more colour accurate than the unedited photos.
That concludes my swatches of the Green Origin Collection!
Barry M are promoting a really important message here about environmentally friendly beauty products, and while doing so they haven’t compromised on quality, so that gets a thumbs up from me!
I would love to see some slightly edgier colours in this collection going forward, but overall this is a really pretty colour palette with classic shades to suit all tastes. Barry M have impressed me yet again!
You can purchase the Green Origin Collection at the bargain price of £3.99 each on their website now. They will also be available to buy in Superdrug from 11 September.
