*Products in this post were sent to me for review*
Hi everyone!
I’ve been meaning to get this post up for a while but life has just got in the way – as always! I always start to feel so burnt out by this time of the year. However, I do have quite a bit of time off over the festive period so I am looking forward to a bit of a rest (as much rest that my cheeky toddler will allow anyway!!).
Anyway, onto the much more exciting subject of these beautiful HJ Manicure polishes. I was so thrilled when Helen contacted me to ask if I would review some of her products.
When they arrived I was blown away by the quality of the packaging and bottles. They look beautiful! I was sent (L-R) Midnight Sky, Caramel Latte and SubZero.
I want to start off by commenting on the formula of the polishes. It was pretty much the same across all three. I found it to be thin, smooth and pretty flawless. They were all a dream to apply – wow. The only thing I’d advise is that you should apply thin coats to avoid pooling at your cuticles.
Helen really has got it right with the quality of these polishes, they apply beautifully and dry quickly with a high shine.
First up is Caramel Latte. I adore this colour, it makes me think of Werthers Originals. But sadly it doesn’t suit my skin tone. But I’ll still wear it anyway as its so pretty! I used 2 smooth coats with no topcoat. Lovely colour which is very office appropriate.
Next we have SubZero which is a gorgeous dark, teal-toned grey. I love this one! Again, I used 2 buttery coats and no topcoat. I want to point out that it was so difficult to get a colour accurate picture of Subzero. This is the closest I could get and I’d say that the polish is a bit lighter in real life. SubZero is lovely and would make a lovely base for glittery Christmas mani’s! Gorgeous.
Lastly is the stunning Midnight Sky. This gorgeous navy has a subtle shimmer that makes it glow from within. This is my favourite of the 3 and is perfect for this time of year. Again I used 2 easy, silky coats.
I am in love with these polishes from HJ Manicure. They ooze quality and look so luxurious. I would 100% recommend Helen’s polishes and hope to own more in the future!!
HJ Manicure polishes retail for £9.50 each and can be purchased here. There is such a lovely range of colours to choose from, there’s something for everyone.
Helen has kindly offered my readers 25% off using code ‘December15’ until 31.12.15, so why not treat yourself to a Christmas pressie?
Hope you enjoyed this review – leave me a comment and let me know what you think!
