*PR Sample, sent to me in exchange for an honest and open review*
Hi everyone!
I am so excited to share this post with you tonight!
YAB (You Are Beautiful) Cosmetics is a new 5 free, cruelty free, indie polish brand. I was lucky enough to be sent 3 lovely pastel polishes from the pre-launch collection, to swatch and review.
YAB is a hand blended nail polish brand created to celebrate and remind all women that they are beautiful in their individuality
I am really thrilled at having the chance to try out some products from such a new brand, and I can’t wait to show you my swatches.
The polishes I was sent don’t have names so I shall just refer to them by the colour.
First up is this lovely parma-violet-esque pastel lilac shade.
For such a pale shade, the formula is fantastic and I used 2 coats for my swatch. It’s a really pretty shade – perfect for Spring!
The polish is thick and self-levelling and dries to a high gloss shine. It’s really a winner!
The next polish I have to show you is this baby pink creme which is filled with a scattering of tiny holo glitter.
The glitter shows up really well in the bottle and looks so pretty.
However, when on the nail, the glitter gets covered by the polish and ends up looking quite lumpy.
I used 3 coats for my swatch as the formula was a little tricky and streaky.
However, it does self level and dries really shiny. It’s a lovely colour and may benefit from more glitter or perhaps none at all.
Finally I have for you the real star of the show.
This beautiful, barely there baby blue creme is out of this world! Anyone who reads this blog will know how obsessed I am with these types of blues.
I used 3 coats for my swatch, but boy was it worth it! The formula was thick, but a little streaky on application. I guess it’s to be expected for such a pale shade (normally these almost whites are chalky and a nightmare to apply).
However, I did find that if I patiently waited inbetween coats, then the polish self-levelled and looked amazing!
As you can see, this polish dries with a fantastic shine and looks quite gel-like.
I adore it, I have nothing like it in my stash and I feel so lucky to own it!
Overall, I am impressed by these products from YAB. The lilac and baby blue have really great formulas which look fantastic on the nail. Pastels can often be a real pain but these are great.
YAB Cosmetics will be launching later on in the year, with a full 9 piece collection. How exciting! I’m really looking forward to seeing what other shades will be released in the future!
Keep an eye on the YAB website and Instagram page @yabcosmetics for more information and updates!
I believe MJ, the creator of YAB, does have some of these pastels for sale, so do contact her on Instagram if you are interested in buying any!
Hope you liked my review!
