Hi everyone!
I finally have for you my swatches and review of the remaining 3 Lolly Gloss shades by Barry M. You can read my review of Pink Candy here.
Barry M released these candy scented jelly polishes as part of their SS16 range.
These fun, bright polishes are designed to be very sheer so they can be used in nail art, the possibilities are endless!
All 3 shades had a similar formula, which was fairly thin and easy to apply. They do have a tendency to flood cuticles so just watch out for that and apply carefully. They look really squishy and all have a fantastic high shine, so they definitely live up to their name!
I used 2 coats for my swatches but you can obviously use more of you want to try and achieve a more opaque look on the nail.
I must admit, I couldn’t really smell any scents on these but I think it’s just me as I have read other reviews which state that they do smell like sweets!
First up I’m showing you Orange Fizz which is a bright orange shade.
Cherry Drop is a lovely magenta colour. It totally reminded me of Cherry Drop sweets which I LOVED as a kid and haven’t had them for years (do they even sell them anymore?!).
Last up is my favourite shade from this range. Purple Pop is a gorgeous deep violet shade which I love!
Now I was so busy thinking about doing a pond mani with Purple Pop that I forgot to take swatch pictures – oops! 😝
So here’s a picture of the mani I did!
To achieve this look, I started with 1 coat of Purple Pop, once this dried I stamped on this pretty daisy image from the MoYou London PRO XL plate 23. I used the MoYou London XL Marshmallow stamper and my Born Pretty white stamping polish.
Once that dried I then applied another coat of Purple pop. As you can see, the daisy pattern peeps through the purple and looks very pretty and subtle.
I think these polishes from Barry M are really fun and I am looking forward to creating more nail art with them! I think they would look pretty in a jelly sandwich and I cant wait to try them over chrome/metallic shades.
I absolutely love everything that Barry M are giving us lately and I cant wait to see what else they have in the pipeline!
Do you like jelly polishes – leave me a comment and let me know?!

Finally another human who refers to it as a jelly sandwich and not a pond mani! Love these swatches and I’m also a big fan of Barry M, how amazing is this collection … full stop! I actually need more colours in this range.

Haha jelly sandwiches and pond manis are totally 2 different things!! Yes it’s a great collection I love Barry M xx
I’m not a fan of visible nail line, but I could work with these. I think they might watermarble and your pond mani is excellent!
Thankyou Keely! I have yet to try watermarbling – it’s scary!x
It’s fun once you get the hang of it. The Lolly Glosses have the same consistency as OPI Color Paints so that’s why I think they’ll be good.
Great read I have the purple one but I’m yet to use it, glad to hear good things about it! Great read and beautiful jelly sandwich
Thankyou so much x
