I cannot believe it’s only Wednesday! What a drag this week is turning out to be!
Anyway, today I have a total gem to show you. It was languishing in my helmer for far too long and I am so glad I finally got round to trying it!
Way back in early 2015 (I think!), Hayley from Danglefoot Nail Polish released a fun jelly polish called Georges Marvellous Medicine. I was just getting into indies at the time and it caught my eye as it was really unusual.
GMM is a beautiful royal blue jelly filled with all sorts of exciting glitter! There is tiny holo dust, square holo glitter and lovely magenta circle glitters. It looks so squishy!
The circle glitters were quite hard to fish out but I didn’t mind.
That aside, this polish has a lovely formula that’s easy to work with. I used 2 coats for my swatch – no topcoat. I was so pleased as I had expected the polish to have become thick after being in my helmer for so long. But it was perfect!
I literally have no idea why I haven’t tried GMM before, it’s so lovely! I think it’s pretty and I love it because it has that ‘lit from within’ glow which is difficult to find in polish.
I knew this polish would look great with stamping on it, so I created a cute nail art look with an image from CICI&CISI plate 04.
I love how this looks and the addition of topcoat after the stamping just enhanced all the holo glitters in GMM. I really didn’t want to take this mani off! It was so sparkly!
Danglefoot Nail Polish is closed at the moment but Hayley will be re-opening soon! You can find her Etsy shop here.
What do you think of Georges Marvellous Medicine, do you like quirky polishes like this?
