So much to my delight, the 26 Great Nail Art Ideas challenge is continuing for another year!
I completed the majority of last years prompts but missed the last few as life got in the way.
But having a break has re-motivated me and I’m excited to participate in the challenge for a second run! I will hopefully manage to join in with the majority of the prompts again.
So the first prompt is Friday 13th. I was a bit stumped by this one, I don’t know much about the meaning of this day (apart from it apparently bringing bad luck?) and so I had to go to google for some inspiration.
After having a look online I found that black cats seem to feature quite heavily in Friday 13th superstitions.
Cats are always fun in nail art and I just so happened to have the perfect stamping image to use.
In terms of a colour scheme, I felt like a blood red base would be very fitting with the theme! I decided to go with 2 coats of Barry M Siren.
Once that was dry I stamped on a cute cat image from Born Pretty Store BPL-025. I also used their black stamping polish.
Once everything was dry I applied a layer of my Barry M matte topcoat.
I really like how the design looks in matte!
I am pleased with how these turned out, I think they fit the theme without being scary or horrifying.
Thanks for stopping by!
