I’m taking a break from Christmas designs to show you this cute mermaid mani I did a few weeks ago.
I’m proud of this mani as it was the first time I tried reverse stamping.
I’ve tried advanced stamping using decals but they never work properly for me. So I decided to try reverse stamping in the hope I would have better results.
Reverse stamping is the technique of picking up the stamped image onto the stamper as normal, and then ‘colouring’ it in before transferring onto the nail.
I started out with a base of essence Blue, so true. This is a gorgeous cerulean blue creme that is opaque in one coat (Sadly my photos are not colour accurate as my camera just freaked out!).
On my pinky and for some of the colouring in, I used Sparklea Nail Polish Candy Floss.
The neon green polish is MoYou London Crazy Citrus.
All the images are from UberChic Beauty Mermaid Life.
Considering I’ve never reversed stamped using a stamper before I’m really happy with how these turned out.
I do need to invest in some better nail art brushes and hopefully with practise I will improve.
Thanks for stopping by!
