Hi everyone!
I was very excited when I popped into Superdrug yesterday and discovered the new Coconut Infusion range from BarryM!
Barry M say that these polishes contain coconut oil and coconut water to nourish and hydrate nails. ย They advise against wearing a base coat so you can get the full benefits of the coconut oil and coconut water.
I decided to pick up 3 of the shades, taking full advantage of the 3for2 offer from Superdrug!
The branch of Superdrug I went to didn’t have all of the 9 colours in the collection so I will look out for them in my local branch.
The 3 shades I went for are Bikini, Surfboard and Laguna. Being a blue lover, Laguna was the one that caught my eye the most.
I am so happy to see that BarryM have stuck with the wide, flat brush for these polishes. It’s a fantastic brush which makes application a breeze. I had to do very little clean up.
All 3 polishes had very similar formula. I can honestly say that the formula was fantastic on all 3. BarryM have really got it right with these polishes. They are all highly pigmented and glide on the nail like butter. Amazing!
I used 2 thick coats and no topcoat for my swatches. Yes, they really are that shiny on their own! The polishes all have a gel-like consistency that gives a plump finish on the nail.
Another thing I should mention is the smell. I personally don’t think these polishes smell like coconut, but they certainly smell different to other polishes. I would say they smell fresher and less chemically than other polish.
Anyway, let’s move onto the swatches!
Surfboard is a girly, lilac toned pink creme that is totally work appropriate. So pretty!
Bikini is somewhere inbetween mint and teal. It’s gorgeous and even though I don’t normally go for green creames, I really love it.
Last up is Laguna which is my absolute firm favourite. For me, this is the perfect powder blue creme. It’s absolutely stunning. Thank you BarryM!!
I adore this shade of blue, it’s my favourite shade ever and the colour I wore on my wedding day. I can tell I will be wearing Laguna ALOT.
Overall, I am really impressed by this release from BarryM. I will definitely be seeking out some of the other colours in the range, some of the nude shades look lovely. If all the formulas are as good as these 3 then I will want to buy them all!
As I change polish so often, I’m not sure how much my nails will benefit from the coconut products in the polishes, but it’s a fun idea from BarryM and interesting to see more natural ingredients being used in nail polish.
Let me know if you’ve tried any of the other colours in the Coconut Infusion range!
