So this is my first blog post using my new domain name! I’m so excited to say that redheadspaintitbetter.com actually exists!
I’ve worked so hard on improving my swatches and nail art and so I thought it was about time that I got my own domain. Exciting stuff!
Barry M recently sent me a bunch of their new polishes to try (Thankyou Barry M!). I’ll be featuring them all on here soon so keep your eyes peeled!
However, I just had to try one of the polishes straight away!
Golden Sands is a beautiful peach toned nude filled with golden glass fleck shimmer. Divine.
Now, I have been obsessed with glass fleck polish ever since I first saw swatches of China Glaze Ruby Pumps.
They are few and far between and so imagine my excitement when I saw Golden Sands!
This beauty just glides into the nail with utter ease.
Once again, the wide flat brush was fantastic and I didn’t have to do any clean up. I used 2 coats for my swatch and under my daylight lamp you can see some visible nail line.
But I’m ok with that – I kind of like that finish with nude shades like this.
Golden Sands dries down with some shine but it also looks slightly waxy at the same time.
I think Golden Sands looks really pretty on its own, but I just had to try it with topcoat to see those glass flecks come to life!
Ah, doesn’t it look pretty with such a glossy shine?
I know I keep harping on about Barry M lately but once again they have got it just right with this polish!
The formula is ace and the shade is totally work/wedding/holiday appropriate! I am wearing Golden Sands as a full mani and I feel so classy.
Sometimes you just need a palette cleanser and this polish does it perfectly!
Let me know your thoughts on Golden Sands – I’d love to know what you think!
Golden Sands is a limited edition shade exclusive to Boots, so be sure to grab it while you can!
