Barry M Sparkling Amethyst – Swatch and Review

*I bought this*

Hi everyone

A few weeks ago Barry M released some new polishes for Autumn/Winter. I can’t believe it’s that time of year again!

I must admit, I haven’t been too moved by most of the new releases. The new Midnight Gellys (reviewed  here by Lanes Lacquers) are pretty, but just too dark for me.

However, I was really happy to see some new glitter polishes added to the Gelly range, and today I have Sparkling Amethyst to show you.

Barry M Sparkling Amethyst

This beautiful blackcurrant polish has a stunning glass fleck shimmer – one of my favourite finishes (CG Ruby Pumps anyone?!).

In the bottle there is a hint of a blue flash – but sadly it just doesn’t come well across on the nail (or in photographs!!). I think you can see hints of it in the pic below.

I used 2 easy coats and was pleased to see the new flat Barry M brush which hasn’t been seen in the Gellys before now.

As a result, application was a dream and there was minimal clean up. True to Gelly form, SA dried to a high shine and was completely smooth.

Here’s a pic at a slightly different angle sovyou can really see the beautiful glass fleck.

Overall this polish is a stunning addition to the Gelly range. It has fantastic formula and is a perfect shade for the colder months.

SA is a limited edition shade, exclusive to Superdrug.

What do you think of this new Barry M?
